Our Aims
Extract from the statute of the
Kulturverein Zschoner Mühle e.V.:
The aim of the association is the support and furtherance of the arts and culture. The association is devoted to the state capital of Dresden in it's role as cultural capital and to the cultural areas left of the Elbe.
The further purpose is the support of the preservation of sites that are of historic interest and the preservation of the landscape. For this purpose does the association concentrate on the Zschoner Mühle in particular as a technical Monument and historico-cultural centre.
Projects in 2011:
► Erection of a municipal park in the location of the historic powder mill
► Puppet Theatre
► Guided Tours of the Mill
► Whitmonday - German day of the mill
► Open house day - 11. September
► Public milling during the autumn holidays
► Restoration of the agricultural tools –
Expansion of the Museum

Our statute is realised through
a) the implementation of cultural and public events and projects,
b) the operation of the cabaret in the barn,
c) the support of puppetry,
d) the care of children during holidays,
e) public relations
(u.a. guided tours, workshops, exhibitions,publications),
f) maintenance of the technical facility that is the mill,
g) landscape preservation
